What can I do about the ISCA incident?
- Contact SIGARCH, ACM, and IEEE and complain
One good person to contact is the ACM President, but the ACM
(as of June 2020) makes it extremely difficult to find out any
contact info for the president or for ethics complaints.
- If you have info on past peer-review fraud at ISCA, be sure to
contact the JIC
- Contact your University's library and tell them not to carry
ACM and IEEE publications, as they are willing to publish conferences
with allegd peer review fraud.
- Cancel your ACM and IEEE memberships.
- Do not give hiring consideration to those who publish at ISCA.
- Do not count ISCA publications toward tenure.
- Refuse to review papers for ACM or IEEE.
- If your advisor tries to pressure you into publishing at ISCA, tell
them no. If they hassle you, find a new advisor.
